Environmental Policy

Index Plastics Limited recognises the need to look after the environment we all live in and the impact manufacturing has on our world. We have planned to consider all aspects of our business that may have an impact on other people, property and the environment of which any or all of our processes and products come in to contact.

We have also recognised that the importance of this will only increase in the future and any such policy will have to be adaptable and flexible to reflect changes and developments in the future.

We are committed to:

• Waste reduction
• Reducing energy and water consumption
• New Product research with consideration to efficient use of material and energy resources
• Preventing pollution
• Complying with local national and European regulations concerning the environment
• Where feasible, exceed the requirements of regulations where we perceive this to be possible

Index Plastics intend to achieve this by:

• Continued monitoring
• Being pro-active in looking for ways to improve our processes
• Disposal of by products for recycling where possible
• Working with suppliers to ensure our supply base supports our efforts
• Training for all employees

The Managing Director is responsible for the above policy and the running of it. It is also every employee's responsibility to be aware of the environmental concerns within the company and to be conscious of the consequences of their actions on the environment.
