Many products within the Index Plastics Limited standard ranges are unique designs and protected by patents, registered design or unregistered copywrite laws.

Index will take action to protect against passing off, plagiarism and any other form of copying.

In particular, exact copies of the company's self adhesive hook range will be vigorously contested. The quality and performance of its tabs relies solely on the adhesive, and cheaper copies undermine the market as well as the integrity of the company's products. Recent actions against large consumer brands have been successful and consequently a precedent is set for continued action.
